Why Give?

Holy Rosary School depends on your generosity and the generosity of our entire community to provide the funds needed to support the students on their journey to becoming faith-filled educated and productive members of our community.

Contributions to the Holy Rosary School Annual Fund help keep tuition affordable for all families, compensate out faculty and staff at a just and equitable salary, and continuously improve the learning opportunities for our students.

All Holy Rosary parents are expected to contribute to the school through this fund. Any amount is welcome and appreciated, no gift is too small and every gift is important. Additionally, we are asked to give to our parish through tithing, which is the foundation of our community.

Parish & School Programs

Fund	Description
Holy Rosary School Annual Fund	Serving the immediate needs of the school, the Annual fund supports the general operating expenses such as teacher salaries, curriculum improvements, and overhead.
Father James Mallahan Endowment Fund	Funds are used for the continuous support of Holy Rosary School’s operating budget, primarily to keep tuition affordable for all families. The principal balance of the Endowment Fund is invested and remains intact, with a percentage of the earnings returned to the school to support our financial aid program. This allows for your donation to have a much greater impact over a long period of time than if it were spent all at once.
Holy Rosary School Tuition Assistance Fund	The Tuition Assistance Fund provides immediate financial aid to families within our own parish that cannot afford the full cost of tuition. This fund gives families the support they need to provide their children a Catholic education that otherwise would not be possible. Donations to this fund can be made at any time during the year by clicking here to contact the Development Director or can be mailed to Holy Rosary School or placed in the collection basket at mass. Please indicate on the check and envelope "Donation for Tuition Assistance Fund". No donation to this fund is too small and each donation is greatly appreciated.

Parish and Archdiocesan Programs

Fund/Program	Description
Tithing	Contributions to the Parish through tithing are required to maintain in-parish tuition rates at the school. Tithing serves the ongoing needs of the parish operating budget, which supports the school with an annual subsidy. The parish website has an online form for pledges

You can also pledge your gift. Pledges can be satisfied through a single contribution or multiple payments, whichever is convenient for you. All pledges must be paid in full by the end of our fiscal year, June 30.

Ways to make your Gift

• Check, cash or credit card

  Checks should be made payable to Holy Rosary School. If you are making a gift to a specific fund (Annual Fund, Endowment Fund, etc.), please note the fund on your check.

• Appreciated stocks or bonds

  If these investments have been held for at least 12 months, this can be one of the most advantageous ways to make charitable gifts or payments on pledges.

• Matching Funds

  Many companies match employee contributions to charities. Gift matching grant programs often aim to recognize and motivate employees and to engage in outreach and volunteerism to make our communities a better place to live, work, and play. They will often support employees giving their time and talent to qualified non-profits and non-governmental organizations, in addition to schools. Some of these programs will also recognize employees who give of their time and give them the opportunity to earn money for organizations that are meaningful to them.

  There are many other companies who do this so, ask your company if they offer a matching program. Most companies will match donation to the Holy Rosary School Annual Fund and to the HEART Auction for Fund-an-item and Dessert (Scholarship) Auction.

  Please check with your company to see if they provide such a match.

• Gifts in kind

  . Non-cash gifts that are needed by the school. Please check with the principal if you are interested in making an in-kind gift to the school.

About the Advancement Office

The Advancement Office is headed by the Advancement Director and is supported by the Development Committee.

The Advancement Office helps to support many events including:

• Supporting the Annual Fund Drive.
• Communications including school marketing materials and newsletters.
• Special events including the Grandparents/Grandfriends luncheon and the Annual Alumni luncheon.
• Encourage families to be involved in school activities and the many volunteering opportunities made possible by Parents' Club.
